This type of woman gets pleasure from giving pleasure, doing things for others and generally enriching another person’s life. And she gets extra points from me — as long as she doesn’t try to change me or “fix” me.

Over the years I have had five of them in my life. They have cleaned my house, done my laundry, cooked dinner for us, taken me to dinner, movies and concerts… things like that.

Now some feminist may pop in and call me a male chauvinist pig or some such thing. Maybe I am. But the point is, these women aren’t being forced to do these things. They do them because they want to. In some cases, I believe they “need” to. And I enjoy it as well.

I don’t rule out women who don’t have these characteristics. I have dated feminists, too. That doesn’t bother me, as long as they don’t try to tell me that men were put on the planet to serve women.

To me, a feminist is one who believes women should receive equal treatment from employers, government and the other institutions of society. As long as that’s the definition, I’m one of them.
